Redesigning this site has taken a lot longer than I thought it would, but then I have been a lot busier than I expected.

At the moment very little is working as it should. Rather than put a work in progress sign on the door, I am leaving what is here here and then rebuilding the whole thing in public.

The problem is that the structure I have developed is just too complex, although the reasons for developing it were sound enough. Now I am moving to the other end of the spectrum. Five tabs, each with one kind of content, and everything old and hazy filed under Archives.

I have now found a way of organising all the material buried here that should enable me to update content on a weekly basis, while making it relatively simple for other people to find the older material.

Since reworking this site is part of my research, the chaos could be construed as educational. Since my loyal readers number literally dozens, then the resultant confusion should not cause to much difficulty.

The aim is to finish the redesign in the next two weeks (that is, to find the eight hours necessary to do it sometime in the next two weeks), and to re categorise the content over summer.

Relaunch date is August 1 2010. Start blowing up the balloons.
