Today was the beginning of a four-day seminar for the students on the international epedagogy masters course, organised by In-Holland, the University of Hamburg, and the University of Industrial Art and Design, Helsinki.
For some of the students who are near the end of their studies (including me) this is the fourth such seminar. We have attended previous ones in Helsinki, Rotterdam and Hamburg. For the new students it was the first such occasion.
I missed the opening sessions because I was still teaching this morning, but I will be able to attend the rest, and I will post notes here from time to time.
The seminar has two keynote speeches, from George Siemens and Henry Jenkins; as well as various in-house presentations and discussions, a visit to Sanomatalo, and a picnic on Suomenlinna.
Update
Before the picnic Jutta and I attended a final party in the centre of Helsinki for the various Hosting Helsinki Eurovision Song Contest projects. Sometime into the picnic, Jutta danced on the rocks and broke her leg. Sometime during the process of getting her into an ambulance, I lost my i-pod.
A photograph
By the end of the seminar many people from Hamburg had already left. Nonetheless there were group photographs of those that remained taken, in the main, by Ralf Appelt and Christina Ferner. This one was taken by Christina, who is therefore not pictured.

The back row, from left to right, is Ralf, Gerard, Willy, Henry Jenkins, Jaap, Stefan, Alex, Suvi, and me. The front row is Eva, Arie, Linda, and Simon.
A complete slideshow was compiled for Jutta, with individual photographs of everyone was who still there to be photographed.
