I leave the house, fortified by muesli and redcurrants we picked and froze in the summer, to find myself confronted by two surprises.
Frost lies all over the ground in various amounts. Winter has sneaked up while we worked in Kerala.
Men work manically making slots in the roads all around us with a wide variety of machinery, as part of a project to lay optic fibre cables around the neighbourhood. I thought we all voted against this happening at public meetings in the Spring.
Apparently, sometimes in the world of digital capitalism, no means yes.
