We took the day off to have a short holiday. Vinesh drove us to Varkala where we spent the afternoon exploring the north cliff.
It reminded us of Goa, and the prices suggested that most of the tourists have come to India for the first time. We found Little Tibet and ate first classes momos for lunch.
Leaving the town we stop at our second temple of the day. Sree Narayana Guru lived in the first quarter of the twentieth century and had a revolutionary political agenda that fought against the caste system. His influence lives on, especially in Kerala.
We walk around the circular temple, and I photograph some of his sayings. I particularly like this one.
