Sippolankuja, 11:44
I went for a long walk without wearing a jumper. The Big Meteorologist in the Sky has decided that summer has started. I walked a different route in a different direction in order to see things from a different angle.
I approach Sippolankuja, a cul-de-sac that that has nothing interesting at the bottom, and decide to walk down it anyway. I walk to the end to the small two-story building that houses two small companies and a car park that houses an old fire engine slowly collapsing under the weight of its own history.
As I walk back I notice that somebody has reacted to the diktat that everyone must build their own letter boxes by using this as a chance to sculpt in an interesting way. I pause to photograph the Man with the Letters.
Later I will go cycling to test the tyres that I pumped up yesterday. One week into March and the bike has come out. Because of International Women’s Day, I will return with some roses.
