Saturday, May 9
I spend the morning finishing the window washing that I started last weekend, before cleaning up the mess I have made while cleaning.
We go to the shops to buy food and drink, and come back to the hottest afternoon in Helsinki this year. People walk the streets in shorts, keeping two metres apart.
We sit in the garden with a Ginger Joe, our newly anointed favourite drink of 2020. I look up at the sky and photograph the one cloud in an otherwise clear sky.
We will stay in the garden for an hour or so, until we have to concede that the sun has cooled and we will need cardigans if we stay out any longer.
We will eat freshly made salad in the evening.
