I woke in the night twice, thinking of Finnish phrases that I couldn’t remember. Both times I remembered them and feel promptly back to sleep. I got up and continued practising.
I get off the metro at Kalasatama, where the roadworks have now ended, and the buses stop at the stop once more. By the bus stop I see a couple of red leaves on gray tarmac. Looks like a photograph, I think.
Not much of one, I think later.
I will take my Finnish test and get my certificate. This means that I now have everything that I need to apply for Finnish nationality.
I will work at Arcada until mid-afternoon and then race home to start the weekend with a retki.
