The sun has started to come up and the world has become suffused with redness. I have walked down to the sea to find out if it has frozen. It hasn’t.
For some reason I find myself listening to a Jimmy Buffett album which seems to consist of songs explaining what a good life he has. It sits neatly on the thin line between smug and wide-eyed, between “how lucky I am to live like this” and “hey, look at how lucky I am!”
I will spend the day doing my final ten hour teaching marathon. I will start the CMS group on their final assignment, and round off the Digital Mediascape course with some Tetrad Speed Dating, and the outline of an assignment.
Irma has made an advent calendar for me. I feel lucky to live like this.
