Lanterna, 18:00
Hesburger do two entirely different vegeburgers – or VEKE as they insist on saying. One costs 1 euro and most nearly resembles a vegetarian version of a McDonald’s cheeseburger. The other costs more.
In this photograph you can see a half-eaten instance of “the other”. It most nearly resembles a crispy chicken burger. Made from soya, Mr Hesburger has then covered it in whatever he covers crispy chicken in. It tastes quite nice, and not like most of the other vegeburgers I have written up.
To get this burger involved a lot of waiting. We queued for about fifteen minutes and the place had no customers except us. Or did it. After a while we realised that it had no customers except us who intended to stand there, buy a burger, and sit down to eat it.
It had a lot of people who walked in, waved their phone, and got given something. We decided that, if we come here again, we will download the app or use the machine at the entrance.
Give me twenty first century fast food, or give me sushi.
