Didrichsen Museum, 15:00
This afternoon we went ot the Didrichsen Museum to see an exhibition called TOVE JANSSON To paint is to be that looked at her career as a fine artist.
It did this in a very interesting way. It showed her paintings and those of her comrades, fellow students, and lovers. The long captions explained a lot of the background to their relationships and the wider art scene within which they moved.
Before we entered the exhibition we had to wait outside for ten or fifteen minutes because the gallery had to restrict visitors. We waited in a small queue and as someone left one of use entered.
While I waited I took a photograph of a detail of a sculpture by Björn Weckström that stood outside the gallery, in front of a window.
