Porvoo Museum, 15:00

We both got museum cards for Christmas. They last twelve months from the first time you use them, and we started ours a couple of days ago when we visited the Tove Jansson exhibition. Today we use it again to make our first visit to the Porvoo Museum.

Neither of us have ever entered it before, and we get several pleasant surprises. The museum, unsurprisingly perhaps, concentrates on famous cultural figures from Porvoo and the surrounding areas.

I photograph the View of Provoo from Kiiala manor, painted in 1897 by Albert Edelfelt.

We will spend a couple of hours there, finally walking over the road to the building that houses the maritime section and the gift shop.

Gift shop? Yes please!
