The day started with a temperature of about -13 and continued in the same way. I think it soared to -10 at midday. I don’t know for certain because I stayed indoors.

I notice that the sun has started to go down. If I don’t leave the house then I never will. I decide to check the mailbox and see if I can find something to photograph. We have no mail but we do have a Chinese hat.

For some reason a Chinese hat got left on the garden bench last autumn and nobody ever retrieved it. It now looks like this, and will presumably continue to look like that until Spring comes and it looks like a Chinese hat again.

I quite like it like this.
