And just like that the beginnings of the banana harvest make a sudden appearance.

We looked at this tree a couple of days ago and could see little buds that Irma assured me would soon grow into bananas. The buds certainly haven’t wasted any time. They now look like bananas–in–waiting.

At the moment they look green and rather flat but I confidently expect that this will change by the time I have a chance to look at them again. I have no idea what will happen next; how big they will grow or at what point they will turn round and yellow.

I have a sudden interest in following their progress very closely!
