We arrived tired but very glad to get here. We sorted out some of the parcels that had arrived, and then collapsed into bed. Before I do I photograph the view from our bedroom window.

We will wake up in the afternoon completely disorientated. I will start to set up the five laptops that we will use for the new club on Saturday.

I will discover that the laptops will not give me an option to keep Windows 10 but will instead force me into Windows 11. I will laboriously remove some Macafee nonsense and Alexa and MS Office, and Office 365, and Teams, and so on. I will discover that you can’t remove Cortana, although you can hide it.

Sheesh, I will say to myself. I will say something more when I discover that setting up a second, local account (for the club members) brings Alexa back again for that account. At least the Macafee stuff seems to stay dead once killed.
