Not all nettles sting. These nettles – vari-nokkonen in Finnish – don’t. I know because I have touched them and not got stung.

Nokkonen means nettle (or stinging nettle) in Finnish, but I can’t find an English translation for vari-nokkonen. And that’s all I have to say about that; except, perhaps, to note that they have an interesting colouring.

Later I will type se on vari-nokkonen into Google Translate and it translates it as it’s a stinging nettle.

Hmmm, I will think.
