Home, 18:36

I have a new phone, or at least I have a new phone to experiment with. I spend the late afternoon and early evening exploring how it behaves in low light. Almost all phones behave well as cameras at midday in bright sunlight. In low light, though, they start to show their differences.
This phone comes from Xiaomi, about whom I know very little, and uses a customised Android, snappily known as MIUI. Pronouncable? Who knows…
We might describe much of the customisation as counterintuitive which makes the lack of even an online manual unusually frustrating.
I take this photograph and decide that, yes, the Redmi 9T works better than my Huawei phone in low light. Then I go and do something else entirely.
