Tabletop, 15:30
This morning I finally moved the blocs of ice that had fallen off the roof off the terrace and down to the growing pile at the back of the garden. This became possible only because some slight melting had occurred in the early morning and so I could persuade the ice to crack into smaller pieces.
The ground felt far too slippery to go for a walk but this stood in for my morning exercise. I slid back into the house exhilarated.
This afternoon I noticed that a lot of chocolates have started entering the house as the festive season has got underway. No surprise there as chocolates seem to have become the small gift of choice. Looking in the bowl, though, I notice that a cluster of chocolate eggs and a few Easter chicks have also arrived.
I cannot explain that quite as easily.
