Today Martta and her boyfriend Matti arrived from Kochi. Martta has an installation in the Kochi Biennale and has come to India for the first time. Martti has travelled India in the eighties. We took them for a rickshaw ride to see a temple festival and, after driving for forty minutes, I do not know where we have arrived.

We will spend half an hour in someone’s house eating food, drinking tea, and telling them about ourselves, before following the procession further down the road..

Martta will get an interesting but somewhat strange first impression of India.
