This morning I sat and wrote, and wrote a lot. I am beginning to feel that I was right. The end of the dissertation does peter out, and I do now have a proper ending that should tie all the threads together and make it finish with a reasonable bang.
When Naa came home I switched to painting, and painted all the rest of the outdoor window frames and contemplated a third coat for the attic door. Then I remembered that I had had to climb the fixed ladder with one hand while holding a paintbrush as full of paint as I could manage. I abandoned the idea.
Now I am out for a walk and I am walking toward Riskutie. The children’s playground where I used to take Auo when she was little is over the road. I can hear children shouting so I turn smartly down the road instead.
